According to a Daily Gazette article Albany head coach Scott Marr has confirmed on Friday morning that star studded sophomore Tehoka Nanticoke is not with Albany for fall ball and will not compete in any fall ball events with the Danes.

Tehoka did start the semester at Albany but has since returned home due to what Marr is calling personal reasons. Marr has also said that he expects Tehoka back at Albany for the spring and that he has received a waiver from the NCAA for his absence.

Last season Tehoka helped lead Albany to championship weekend where they eventually fell to Yale in the semifinals. He led Albany in goals as he hd 50 and lived up to the hype that surrounded him as he entered Albany as the number one ranked freshman in the country.

Coming into the 2019 season Tehoka looks to be "the guy" for Albany as they graduated Connor Fields and lost their winningest senior class ever. Faceoff specialist TD Ierlan also made headlines over the summer as he transferred to Yale.
