As week eight has come to a close so has the regular season. The last week of the season didn't disappoint as we saw some great games from Wednesday to Sunday. As a result of week eight we have a new number one in Pat Gregoire's CUFLA Power Rankings  and the final standings have shifted as well.

One of the biggest games last week was Trent vs McGill. This game ultimately decided who would would take first place and win the east. It was a close game just like the first meeting, but Trent would walk away victorious. Trent's would earn the 12-7 win in the second half as the put on an impressive display of defense and offense. McGill seemed to have no answer for the Excalibur offense down the stretch. A Late effort by McGill would prove that the deficit was too much to overcome. Jeff Fernandes was one of the leaders for Trent as he had 5 points (5G,1A) in the win.

Another great game last week was Ottawa vs Nipissing as they played a very hard fought game in the snow. (Pictured above) Nipissing would get edge Ottawa for the 11-10 victory. That set up Nipissing for a third place showdown on Sunday with Queen's. In that game Queen's would get the 14-11 victory.

Week 8 Leaders

Jeff Fernandes, A, Trent
