Week six of CUFLA action started off on Wednesday night when Western defeated Laurier by a score of 21-6. In that game Western got off to a hot start going up 7-0 in the first quarter. Coming into the second half Western held a 12-3. Laurier would fight hard but it was too big a deficit to pull off a comeback, especially against a team like Western.

Coming into the weekend of week six Pat Gregoire has released his most recent power rankings after week 5.

This weekend features eight games and there are a couple of pretty good ones in there. Some of the marquee matchups this weekend will feature some of the top teams against some of the middle of the road teams in both the east and the west, in terms of the standings. A battle at the bottom of the east will also take place this weekend as well with Carleton vs Ottawa. The biggest game of the week has to be Trent vs Queen's on Saturday as those two teams battle it out. Both teams are in the top three of the standings in the east.
