The consensus number one player in the class of 2020, Brennan O’Neill, has decommitted from Penn State. O’Neill’s final two schools are Notre Dame and Duke.

The 6-2 lefty attackman out of St. Anthony’s (NY) is an electrifying player who can really put on a show. O’Neill is clearly a standout player and the hype surrounding him as seemingly grown since his performance at Inside Lacrosse’s Midnight Mania in September.

O’Neill has the potential to be an impact player right away at the DI level. He has the speed, strength, and size to be a dominate player at the next level. His ability to finish is almost unmatched as O’Neill seems to be able to finish from almost any spot on the field. Many comparisons have been made between O’Neill and greats such as Gary Gait and John Grant Jr.

No matter where he ends up, Notre Dame or Duke, O’Neill will for sure be an huge impact to that program almost immediately.
