Binghamton Hires Haefele as Assistant

Binghamton head coach Kevin McKeown has announced that Trevar Haefele has been hired as an assistant coach for the Bearcats this upcoming season. Haefele comes to Binghamton after spending five years as an assistant at DIII Bates College in Maine under Peter Lasagna. 

At Bates Haefele was the offensive coordinator for a few years before becoming the lead assistant and defensive coordinator. During his five year as an assistant at Bates he helped lead the Bobcats to two NCAA tournament berths and four NESCAC tournament appearance. 

Prior to starting his coaching career at Bates Haefele was a standout attackmen at DII power Nazareth. As a player at Nazareth he played in two NCAA tournaments, 2011 and 2013, and was an Empire 8 all-conference player twice. Haefele is a native of Maine and has also coached one year of high school as an assistant at St. Dominic Academy.
