On Wednesday afternoon the Toronto Rock announced the signing of UFA defenseman Creighton Reid to a one-year contract deal. This will be Reid's return to Toronto as he began his NLL career in Toronto in 2010.

The eight veteran defensemen makes his return to Toronto since winning the NLL cup with the Rock in 2011. Reid would spend six seasons in Colorado from 2012-2017. Reid's latest stop was in Calgary where he played in 2017, after leaving Calgary, and 2018.

Known as a true stay-at-home defender Reid can get out in transition as well. Last season he had 4 points, 9 caused turnover, and 48 loose balls as he helped the Roughneck reach the playoffs. Over his career thus far he has 88 points (22G,58A) along with 533 loose balls and 111 caused turnovers. Reid should be able to make an impact day one in Toronto.
