The Chesapeake Bayhawks have signed midfielder Colin Heacock to a three-year contract extension through 2021. The Maryland native is staying home after playing his first two seasons in the MLL with the Bayhawks.

Heacock was drafted 11th overall in the 2017 MLL draft by the Chesapeake Bayhawks after winning the 2017 NCAA champion with Maryland. In his first two seasons with the Bayhawks Heacock has played a key role in that offense alongside guys like Myles Jones, Lyle Thompson, and Matt Abbott among others.

In 2018 Heacock helped lead the Bayhawks to the MLL semifinals where they lost to the eventual champions Denver Outlaws. Heacock had 40 points with 25 goals and 14 assist last season. Bayhawks head coach Dave Cottle said, "I think Colin is one of the best young players in the league, and is going to be a rising superstar.
