The Philadelphia Wings have announced their first two assistants for their inaugural 2019 season. The Wings have hired Tracey Kelusky to be their offensive coordinator and Ian Rubel to be their defensive coordinator. Both of these guys have a ton of lacrosse experience and Wings fans should be nothing short of ecstatic about these coaching hires.

Kelusky, an NLL Hall of Famer, played in college at DI Hartford and was drafted into the NLL in 2000. In the 2000 NLL draft Kelusky picked first overall by the Columbus Landsharks. He played in the NLL until 2014 when he reitred with the old Philadelphia Wings. Kelusky also played for the Montreal Express, Buffalo Bandits, but spent the majority of his career with the Calgary Roughnecks. Kelusky also played in the MSL for the Peterborough Lakers. Since his retirement he has spent his time coaching, most recently with the Finland men's box national team.

Ian Rubel played in the NLL from 2001 to 20011. He was drafted by the Columbus Landsharks but would also play with the Toronto Rock, Minnesota Swarm, and the Rochester Knighthawks. Rubel played Junior A lacrosse with St. Catherine's of the OJALL and would later become an assistant coach. He also has coached with Daredevils lacrosse as a performance coach.
