It has been reported by Matt Kinnear of Inside Lacrosse that Liam Gleason will add two more former Albany guys to his inaugural staff. Tim Cox is set to be the Saints offensive coordinator and Derrick Eccles will be the defensive coordinator.

Tim Cox will be the offensive coordinator for Siena in Gleason's first year as the head coach. Cox was previously an assistant at Robert Morris for two years, from 2017-2018. Prior to his coaching stint and Robert Morris Cox was an assistant at his alma mater Albany. Cox was at Albany as an assistant coach at Albany under Scott Marr in 2016 as he helped the Danes get to a number four ranking. During his playing days Cox was a midfielder at Albany as he graduated in 2015.

Derrick Eccles, a recent Albany player, is set to be the defensive coordinator for the Saints in 2019. Eccles played at Albany from 2012 to 2016. Eccles was a standout midfielder and All-American for the Great Danes.

With the hiring of Eccles and Cox as the offensive and defensive coordinators that makes all three of the coaches Albany grads. Head coach Liam Gleason and offensive coordinator Tim Cox are both Albany grads and former Albany coaches. Is Siena becoming Albany north?
