NLL Free Agency Day 20: Big New Out of Toronto

On Monday there was quite a bit of new that came out of the Toronto Rock organization. For starters it was announced that Brodie Merrill would be taking his talents elsewhere as the Rock captain opted to not re-sign with Toronto. The Rock also announced that they had re-signed goalie Riley Hutchcraft to a two-year deal. Hutchcraft was drafted 30th overall in 2017 by the Rock and is a good young backup for starter Nick Rose. Hutchcraft was on the Rock's practice squad for most of last season but did earn some action as he played in three game last season.

New England also made headlines today as the Blackwolves have officially signed Tyler Digby to a two-year deal. Digby came to New England from Calgary in a trade back in July. The six-year veteran forward should make a big impact for the Blackwolves in 2019. Digby has 22 points (6G,16A) and 25 loose balls last season for Calgary.
