NLL Free Agency Day 1: San Diego Strikes Gold

August 1st at Midnight marked the official started of the 2018 NLL Free Agency period. Any player that was in his free agency year and had not re-signed with his previous team automatically became a restricted or unrestricted free agent.

Within the first hour of the NLL free agency period it had already become clear that Patrick Merrill and the San Diego Seals were up to something big. San Diego struck gold and shook up the league within the first hour of free agency as they signed 11 free agents including one of the league most premiere players in Joe Walters.

Vancouver was another team that announced a plethora of signings on day one of NLL Free Agency. Saskatchewan, Colorado, and New England were able to re-sign of of their core pieces.
