Dallas let New York know that they meant business when they came into Dallas on Saturday night. Just two weeks ago New York gave Dallas their first home loss of the year and they would get their revenge here tonight. An impressive display of offense from Dallas really put the game out of reach early and new York could never fully mount a complete comeback.

The Rattlers would start of the game very hot on offense. Much of that credit early in the game, and throughout, goes to faceoff man Drew Simoneau who dominated all night and was the true catalyst for Dallas' success. Ty Thompson would start the scoring early for Dallas with a quick goal just a few minutes in. After a few possessions by both squads and the ball going back and fourth Jordan Wolf would give Dallas their second of the game. The MVP front runner Rob Pannell would give New York their only goal of the first midway through the quarter. After that Dallas turned on the jets as they went on a four goal run to end the first. One of those goals during that run was an easy dump by Drew Sinoneau right off the faceoff. The d-pole Joel White would have one as well as Ben reeves and Randy Staats.

With it being a 6-1 Dallas lead heading into the second quarter things weren't looking good for New York as they had no energy at all. Jake Bernhardt would give the Lizards a little hope as he scored early in the second to cut the Dallas lead to 6-2. With New York getting some good shots and possessions the Rattlers defense would prevail. Joel White would get his second of the game to push the Dallas lead back out again. Both New York and Dallas would get three goals to end the half. Rob Pannell would record a hat trick for New York, but Dallas was still dominating as they lead 9-5 heading into halftime.

The second half would start out more even in the third as both teams seemed to have kicked it into second gear. Paul Rabil would get his first and only goal of the game to start things off early for New York. Dallas would answer with a three goal run through the middle of the quarter. Ryan McNamara, Jordan McIntosh, and Jordan Wolf would all get goals during that run to make it 12-6 Rattler lead. With all the momentum on Dallas' side New York faceoff man Thomas Kelly would flip the switch for at least a possession as he won the faceoff that lead to a Joe LoCasio goal for New York. The Lizards would get another goal via Joel Tinney as he put the pass from X in the back of the cage. Ben reeves would score for Dallas and Will Manny for New York to end the quarter.

Coming into the fourth and final quarter with a 13-9 lead and home crowd on your side Dallas had this one all but wrapped up. Randy Staats and Ty Thompson would score the first two of the quarter for the Rattlers. New York started to comeback just a bit as things did get a little chippy with some talking, as always, and extra slashes here and there. New York would end the game, and season, with three straight goals by way of Jake Bernhardt, Will Manny, and Kevin Unterstein. That Unterstein transition goal gave the Lizards a lot of energy but some bad calls chippy play by both squads would fill the last minute of the game.

Dallas walked away 15-12 victors as they will play against Denver next week for the MLL championship in Charleston, SC.
