Jimmy Perkins Transferring to Utah

Former Robert Morris attackman Jimmy Perkins will use his fifth and final year of eligibility at Utah in 2019 as Chris Jastrzembski reported on Monday.

The Pittsburg native, Perkins, was one of the core pieces of that Robert Morris offense over the past two seasons. In 2018 Perkins recorded 61 points (31G,30A). Perkins also gobbled up 26 ground balls last season.

Perkins was a key player in helping Robert Morris win the NEC championship and reaching their first NCAA tournament appearance. With Perkins skill set and experience I would expect to see him start and play a key role for Utah in their inaugural season.

Layne Collins is another fifth year senior that is choosing to spend his fifth year elsewhere. Collins is transferring from Richmond to Canisius, in his hometown of Buffalo,NY, where he will complete his fifth and final year of NCAA eligibility.

Collins started three games last season for Richmond as he complied 16 points (10G,6A). Collins also had 12 ground balls.
