With the NLL off-season in full swing and free agency officially starting on August 1st, tomorrow, many teams have been announcing signings, trades, and re-signings. On Tuesday the Buffalo Bandits, Colorado Mammoth, and Toronto Rock all announced Free Agent re-signings. The rule on free agency is that if a player that is in his free agency year doesn't sign with the team he was with by August 1st he becomes a restricted or unrestricted free agent. So, you can see why many teams have been trying to lock up their key guys before August 1st.

Buffalo Bandits

On Tuesday the Buffalo Bandits announced that defensemen Matthew Bennett had agreed to re-sign with the Bandits for a two-year deal. Bennett has played the entirety four year career with the Bandits. He only played 5 games last year due to a season ending knee injury. Bennett has a career total of 154 loose balls thus far.

Colorado Mammoth

The Colorado Mammoth announced the re-signing of forward Stephen Keogh, forward Chris Wardle, and goalie Steve Fryer. Keogh and Fryer each signed one-year deals as Wardle signed a two-year deal. Each of these guys have been key pieces of this Mammoth team over the past few years.

Toronto Rock

Toronto Rock Owner, President, and GM Jamie Dawick announced the re-signing of defensemen Bill Hostrawser and Brock Sorensen. Hostrawer signed a one-year deal and Sorensen signed a two-year. Both are key pieces to the Toronto defense that they definitely need back next year. The six year veteran, Sorensen, has spent the last four season with the Rock. Over his career he has 74 caused turnovers and 361 loose balls. Hostrawer has also spent the last four years with the Rocks as he is a seven year veteran. Over his career he has scooped up 366 loose balls and caused 59 turnovers.
