In what would be a tight, physical, and hard fought battle Canada would come out victorious against the USA. Canada's 16-7 win can be credited to their impressive play at both ends of the floor, especially in the second half as they didn't let the USA get in the same rhythm as they did in the first.

This game would start off very tight as the two rival teams battled back and forth for the entire quarter and really the half. The goalie play and offensive's looked very good in the first. Canada would have dominate the possession game but that didn't seem to effect either side too much at all.

The USA would start off the scoring as Brian Wiles would make it 1-0 with 13:53 in the first quarter. After a lengthy period of defensive stands Canada would finally get their first with a Thomas Vaesen goal. Late in the quarter the USA would get two straight goals from Alexi Fauzey and Michael Frickie. Kyle Dawson would end the quarter with as he scored for Canada with :23 in the first. At the end of a very tight first quarter the USA would hold a one goal 3-2 lead.

In the second quarter we would see much of the same as it remained tight the whole way. Even though it was still tight Canada would start to flex their muscles a little bit more on both ends of the floor.

Jacob Saunders would start the scoring for Canada early in the second as he would tie it up at 3 all. The USA would quickly answer with a Michael Frickie goal to put them back up by one. Midway through the quarter Canada would catch a spark as they got two straight goals by way of Thomas Vaesen and Tanner Buck. That would give Canada a 5-4 lead with 9:07 in the second. To end the half the USA would tie it back up but Canada would answer. Haiden Dickson would get a nice transition goal to give Canada the 6-5 lead heading into the half.

As the third got underway the game would still remain very tight and physical but you could clearly see the the Canadians talent and experience was starting to take over. Canada would start off the third with a Kyle Dziwenka goal to put them up by two. Both squads would show some impressive defense as it would be a six minute scoring drought for both sides. Canada would get the offense rolling again as Haiden Dickson would put them up 8-5 with 8:45 in the third. The USA would get two goals from Brian Wiles and Michael Guerin later in the third. Canada would get one more goal from Mitch Linklater before the quarter ended from.

With Canada dominating possession in the third they would come into the fourth holding a 10-7 lead over the USA. In the fourth Canada really did take over as they would score seven goals in a row to secure the 16-7 victory. They flexed their muscles and yet again took advantage off all the opportunities given to them.

With this win Canada will advance to the gold medal game on Sunday where they will take on the Iroquois. USA will play the Saskatchewan S.W.A.T on Saturday in an exhibition game.
