NLL Protected Player List

With the expansion draft coming up on July 16th each team has to protect certain players and the ones not protected will go in the expansion draft that will feature the San Diego Seals and the Philadelphia Wings. The Wings have the number one pick.

Each current franchise can protect up to 11 runners. The only positional rules are for forwards and goalies as teams can protect a maximum of 1 goalie and 5 forwards. So, a team could protect 10 runners and 1 goalie or 11 runners and no goalie.

Each team has about one or maybe two surprises of guys that they didn't protect. The most interesting teams too look at here are the Saskatchewan Rush and the Rochester Knighthawks because they just competed in the Finals back in June. Both of these squads have multiple guys that were borderline whether to protect them or not.

Buffalo Bandits

The Bandits did something interesting here as they didn't protect a goalie and they were the only team to do that. There were also a few surprises on here but not much as other teams.
