It appears that the biggest saga of the NLL off season has taken yet another turn. Initial reports stated that the Knighthawks would be sold to Pegula Sports and Knighthawks owner Curt Styres would get the long awaited Halifax expansion franchise. Then we saw a report from Marisa Ingemi that stated Styres wanted to move the Knighthawks to Halifax, but comissioner Nick Sakiewicz wasn't behind that at all.

Well, we have a new report today as the Knighthawks have finally made a statement about these so called rumors that have been floating around for about three weeks now. Rochester Knighthawks Vice President of Sales John Catalano said, "We can confirm that we will play the 2019 season at Blue Cross Arena. The Knighthawks are not leaving Rochester, we know there are rumors out there."

The Democrat & Chronicle talked to Knighthawks fan and 24 year season ticket holder Ed Diponzio. Diponzio said, "The rumors have been out there for about three weeks, and these are legitimate lacrosse people saying this. A lot of us got upset. I hadn't heard anything until now."

Diponzio also told the Democrat & Chronicle that it would further comfort he and other passionate fans of the Knighthawks if they could hear from Styres.
