The Colorado Collegiate Box Lacrosse League (CCBLL) Morrow Cup Finals started on Sunday night as the Fighting Bison and the Red Hawks took the floor in what would be a great game one. The Fighting Bison got off to a hot start that would help them secure the 12-10 victory.

Bobby Goggin would start the game off with a Red Hawks goal two minutes into the action. That would be the last goal the Red Hawks would see for a while as the Fighting Bison would go on a four goal run to end the first period. During that run Josh James would get two goals and Nate Marano and Grant Breeden would each get one a piece. That run to end the first would put the Fighting Bison up 4-1 heading into the second as they had all the momentum shifting their way.

In The Second quarter we would see the Fighting Bison continue their run as Graeme Warner would score to make it 5-1. The Red Hawks would stop the bleeding with a Jake Govett goal that would cut the lead to 5-2. Nate Marano would get his second and third goals of the game to push the Fighting Bison lead up to 7-2. The Fighting Bison would see that five goal lead start to diminish as the Red Hawks would end the second period with a three goal run. During that three goal run Aaron Boyd would get one goal and Quinn McKone would get two. That run by the Red Hawks would cut the Fighting Bison lead to 7-5 heading into the third period.

The Red Hawks would start off the scoring in the third to make it a one goal game early in the period. The Fighting Bison would answer with three of their own as Nate Marano score two and Grant Breeden would get one. The rest of the game would very back and fourth as the two teams traded goals almost every other possession. The Fighting Bison would see goals from Nate Marano and TK Hammond. The Red Hawks would get goal from Bryan Hancock, AJ Guralas, and Luke Nachazel. Those three goals late in the third wouldn't be enough as the Fighting Bison would walk away 12-10 victors.

Game two of the Morrow Cup Finals will be on Monday, July 30th at 7PM MT/ 9 PM ET
