England Defeats Scotland to Get First Win

England would be able to overpower Scotland on both ends of the field to get their first victory of this tournament by a score of 11-8.

In this tight fun filled battle Scotland would start the scoring off very early in the game as Colin Uyeki got them going. It wouldn't be long after England would counter and their offense would come to the forefront. Going on a 4-0 run to end the first quarter England would see three different goal scorers. Alex Russell and Jak-Laurent Wawryzniak would have one a piece as Nicholas Watson would have two goals to end the first and give England a 4-1 lead.

Scotland would be able to somewhat make a comeback as they start the second quarter off with a two goal run. Cole Paciejweski and Ryan sage would be the goal scorers for Scotland. That little run wouldn't last for long as England's offense went back to work as they devoured Scotland's defense for the rest of the quarter. Zachary Guy, Joshua Sherry-Brennan, and Samuel Russell would put together a three goal run for England to end the first half and make it 7-3 England heading into the third.

Again Scotland would start things off with two goals early in the third. Luke Laszkiewicz and Sean Darroch would score those first two goals for Scotland. England would counter with goals from Peter Hayes and Joshua Sherry-Brennan finding the back of the nest for the England. Scotland would finally show some fight as they broke that run before it got started. James McBride would get a goal for Scotland to make it a three goal 9-6 game, England lead. The quarter would end with England getting their tenth goal of the game by way of Ryan Sweetman. That would give England a 10-6 lead going into the final twenty minutes of play.

Nicholas Watson would score the last goal for England in the fourth. That would give them eleven goals and pretty much secure the victory. Scotland would be able to get two goals courtresy of Luke Laszkiewicz and Sean Darroch to end the game. England would be able to walk away with an 11-8 win as they really did use that offense and defense to overpower Scotland and get their first win of the tournament.
