Canada would be able to pull away in second half after a tight first. Their offense and defense would both play great as they got the 17-3 win over Australia.

The Australians would have a pretty goof game as they hung in there with Canada for about a half of play. Australias offense looked better than ever but they still fell short of the win.

This game started out being more of a defensive battle until Canada finally found their rhythm on offense in the last few minutes of the first. Josh Byrne would have the first goal of the game for Canada to make an early 1-0 lead. Midway though the first Australia would get two straight goals courtesy Christopher Robertson and Christopher Plumb. Canada would answer a few minutes later as Mark Cockerton made it 2-2. Australia's defense would limit the Canadians for a few possessions until Ben McIntosh would give Canada the 3-2 lead which would spark the offense. Wes Berg would score at the end of the quarter for Canada to give them a 4-2 lead at the end of the first.

It would be another back and fourth quarter in the second as Tre LeClair got the scoring started off for Canada. Kevin Crowley and Curtis Dickson would also contribute goal before the half. Australia would be able to get some significant possession time as they had three goals in the second. Alex Brown, Christopher Robertson, and Isaac Cahill would be the scores for the Aussies. Canada would hold a 7-5 lead at the half.

Canada would catch fire in third quarter as they would go on a four goal run to make it 11-5. During that run we would see goals from Ben McIntosh, Ian MacKay, Mark Matthews, and Curtis Dickson. It really was an offensive onslaught by the Canadians as they were able to heavily penetrate that Australian defense.

With Canada holding an 11-5 lead heading into the fourth Australia would get two goals early in the quarter. Nigel Morton and Christopher Robertson would score those two last goals for Australia. Canada would close out the game with two goals as Jeff Teat and Mark Matthews had one a piece. That would the 13-7 victory for Canada.
