A dominating offense performance would push Canada past the Iroquois as they were able to get a 15-4 win in the semifinals and advance. Canada will face the winner of USA vs Australia in the championship game.

The Iroquois had some good possessions and opportunities but just couldn't capitalize as the Canadian defense really stifled them. With this loss they drop to the third place game where they will play the loser of USA vs Australia.

Canada would start out the game red hot as they took advantage of that Iroquois defense. That offense got going early and often as they pushed out to a 6-0 lead in the first quarter. During that first quarter run we would see Ben McIntosh get two goals as Kevin Crowley, Curtis Dickson, Mark Cockerton, and Jeremy Noble each got one a piece. The Iroquois would actually have a lot of good possessions but couldn't stick one past Dillon Ward in cage for Canada.

In the second we would see the Iroquois finally be able to get on the board as Randy Staats got the scoring started. Canada would be able to counter as Mark Matthews and Ben McIntosh would make it 7-1 Canada midway through the quarter. The Iroquois would be able to find the back of the net as Brendan Bomberry would score his first of the game. The second half would close out with Curtis Dickson getting his second of the day to make it a 9-2 Canada lead heading into halftime.

The domination by Canada would continue in the second half as well. In the third they would stretch their lead out to 11-3. Mark Matthews would get his third and Curtis Dickson would net his second of the day. Lyle Thompson would get one goal for the Iroquois at the end of the third as they finally found a little rhythm again.

In the fourth quarter Canada would really control the pace of play as they would have some long possessions. For Canada Mark Cockerton would net three goals to bring his total to four. That would help Canada secure the 15-4 victory and advance to the championship game.
