A huge third quarter for Australia would be the catalyst for this big win for Australia as they took down the host country Israel in a 9-6 win. With this win Australia advances to the semifinals where they will face the USA. Israel will go to the 5th-8th place bracket and play the winner of Japan vs Scotland.

It would be a very exciting first half of play as both teams were really playing hard and competing at a high level. There was so much action that you were afraid to take your eyes off the game in fear you would miss something exciting. Both the offense and defense played very hard in this first half.

Australia would get the scoring started in the first quarter William Pickett scored the firs goal of the game to make it 1-0 Australia. That would be Australia's only goal of the quarter as Israel would go on a three goal run to close out the quarter. During that Israel run we would see goals from Josh Offit, Max Seibald, and Zachary Pall. That display of offense in the first quarter would give Israel a 3-1 lead heading into the second.

Israel would continue their offense success to start off the second quarter as Zachary Pall put them up 4-1 early. There would be some great defense played on both sides as there was a stretch of empty possessions for both squads midway through the second. Australia would get a couple great possessions that they did capitalize on late in the quarter. Chris Robertson would score to cut the Israel lead to 4-2. The Aussies got possession with about five seconds in the half as they called a timeout and Kennedy Mitchell would score at the buzzer. Israel would be holding onto a one goal 4-3 lead heading into the half.

The third quarter would start with both teams trading goals as Graham Thomas scored for Australia and Josh Offit for Israel. After that it would be all Australia from there until the end of the third. Australia would catch fire as they went on a four goal streak to end the quarter. During that run we would see Chris Robertson, Graham Thomas, Alex Brown, and Mitchell Kennedy all get goals during that run. This offensive hot streak would help push Australia out to an 8-5 lead heading into the final twenty minutes of play.

In the fourth quarter we would see a pretty slow start. There was a lot of back and fourth transition play but nobody was able to capitalize until Max Seibald split down the middle and got Israel their 6th goal of the day. That would cut the Australia lead to 8-6 with about eight minutes left in the game. Australia would be able to control the pace for the rest of the game as we saw them have a ton of possessions and really drain the clock. Australia would get a goal on an open cage courtesy of Alex Brown and that would secure the 9-6 victory for the Aussies.
