Mike Murphy Resigns as Colgate Head Coach

There is a new DI head coaching job open as Colgate Raiders head coach Mike Murphy has resigned. This news is very shocking to everyone around the lacrosse community as it was very unexpected.

Murphy's resignation comes after a 2018 season where he lead the Raiders to their fifth Patriot League Tournament appearance under his tenure. The Raiders finished the 2018 season with a 7-8 overall record, 3-5 in the Patriot League.

Mike Murphy was at the helm of the Raiders program for seven years and compiled a record of 57-51 and 26-26 in the Patriot League. He lead them to five Patriot League Tournament appearances and two Patriot League Championships, 2012 and 2015.

The school has said that a national search for a new head men's lacrosse coach is set to begin immediately.
