Connor Cannizaro Announces Retirement

Ohio Machine attackman Connor Cannizzaro announced his retirement on Wednesday afternoon. Cannizzaro was picked fifth overall by the Machine in the 2017 MLL draft. The former denver Pioneer looked to be a very promosing player for the Machine after a great college career. As a rookie for the in 2017 Cannizzaro only played in nine games for the Machine, seven regular season and two playoff games. Cannizzaro put up twenty six goals and nine assist. Adding in his stats from this season Cannizzaro has thirty career goals, twelve career assist, and thirty four career ground balls. The reasons behind Cannizzaro's retirement has yet to be announced.

The Machine have placed Connor Cannizaro on the "voluntary retirement" list and have picked up defenseman John Yozzo-Scaperrotta. Yozzo-Scaperrotta has been in the MLL since 2016 and has played for the Bayhwaks, Blaze, and Launch before coming to Ohio.
