KY High School Rankings: Week 5

Trinity Athletic Photos

The last week before spring break saw a ton of lacrosse action here in the Bluegrass State. We had a huge rivalry game as well as some very close contest. We really did have a lot of action last week, and minimal weather cancelation, which I am very happy about. The rankings were shaken up a little bit last week as there was a ton of action.

1. Trinity (6-2)

The Shamrocks got a huge over bitter rival St. Xavier on Wednesday. This was a great game, but Trinity was in control the whole time. They never let St. Xavier finish out any comeback. A great win in all for the Rocks. They will have a break for spring break.

2. St. Xavier (6-2)

The Tigers lost to Trinity in the states biggest rivalry. The Tigers saw themselves down the entire game and they never had the lead at all. They kept on looking like they were mounting a comeback, but never finished. They get their third loss on the year, and first in state loss. They will be traveling to Virginia for some spring break lacrosse.

3. Henry Clay (6-2)

The Blue Devils beat Tates Creek in dominating fashion on Wednesday to pick up their sixth of the year. They will have a break for the spring break.

4. Lexington Catholic (7-3)

The Knights took a very tough loss to Summit Country Day (OH) on Monday as they lost 15-13 in a close one. They then went on to beat Dunbar by a pretty big margin on Wednesday as they picked up their seventh win. They will be breaking for spring break

5. Fredrick Douglas (7-1)

The Broncos have cracked the top 5! They got two wins last week over Anderson County and Lafayette. Both games were won by some pretty big margins. They will be taking off for spring break.

6. Male (5-2)

7. South Oldham (4-3)

8. Eastern (5-2)

9. Collegiate (1-1)

10. Christian Academy LOU. (4-2)

11. Northern KY LC (4-0)

12. Manual (5-2)

13. Madison County LC (5-2)

14. North Oldham (3-2)

15. Elizabethtown (5-3)
