NLL Weekend Preview: Week 14

Jack Dempsey / Inside Lacrosse

We had a great week 13 and now it's time to move to week 14.
This weekend we only have three games, but they should be good ones as they always are. One of those games has the possibility ton decide the west. Also, the Trade deadline is coming up, March 19th, so keep your eyes out for that.

Saturday, March 10th

7:30 PM
Rochester Knighthawks (5-6) vs Georgia Swarm (5-6)  (Twitter Game of the Week)
These two teams are at the bottom of the East and want to move up to get in the playoff race. I believe that both squads have the capability of getting a playoff birth, especially with the east being wide open. Georgia got a win over Colorado last week so they should be coming in with some momentum. Rochester has had a week off so they should be fresh and well rested. It should be a great eastern division battle.

9:00 PM
Colorado Mammoth (7-3) vs Calgary Roughnecks (4-6)
This game will decide the season series between these two western conference foes. The Mammoth have won the last two meetings and they will sweep Calgary with a win here. I know Colorado would really want to do that as it would basically secure their 2nd place seed in the West. This is a big game for both teams.

Sunday, March 11th

3:00 PM
Toronto Rock (5-5) vs New England Blackwolves (5-4)
Two of the best teams in the east will go head to head on Sunday afternoon. Toronto will be entering their third weekend with out their star Tom Schreiber. The Rock lost to Georgia last week and will be looking to rebound. They still need to find another great playmaker and floor general like Schreiber. I know they have guys that can do it. New England will be entering this game after trading away one of their top guys last week. They had off last week so they should be well rested.
