Tanner's Top 25 : Week 4

  This week was full of upsets and great games that really shook up the rankings.
We are getting into the part of the season where it becomes almost impossible to rank these teams. That is how much talent and parody we have in the sport right now. I love it!

Others Considered: Penn State, Providence, Boston U, Colgate, Brown, Richmond, Towson, Cornell

25. Sacred Heart
      The Pioneers were able to get another win against Dartmouth on Saturday.

24. Johns Hopkins
      Johns Hopkins took their 2nd loss on the season to North Carolina at home on Friday.

23. Bucknell
      Bucknell knocked off a very good Colgate team to open up Patriot League play.

22. Jacksonville
      Jacksonville almost topped Ohio State but lost in OT. They are still playing very good lacrosse.

21. Robert Morris
      RMU had their program best win as they beat Penn State and turned Happy Valley into Sad Valley.

20. Marquette
      Marquette dominated Detroit Mercy to show that they still have plenty of talent.

19. Princeton
      Princeton lost to Virginia in a shootout but I really liked how they looked even with the L.

18. Yale
      The Bulldogs survived Michigan and got by with a win.

17. Army
      Army took a loss to Syracuse in the dome after 3 OT's. They still looked good on D as usual.

16. Rutgers
      Rutgers was able to beat Fairfield after almost giving up the game but then stepping on the pedal again.

15. Delaware
      The Blue Hens look really good this year and keep winning.

14. Syracuse
      The Orange survive a loss at home to Army as they won in the 3rd OT. They still did not look great in the 1st half at all.

13. Georgetown
      The Hoyas continue to prove people that they can play as they defeated Towson. Watch out Big East.

12. Penn
      The Quakers were able to upset Duke at home in a comeback victory.

11. Vermont
      The Catamounts keep on rolling.

10. Ohio State
      The Buckeyes survived an upset and beat Jacksonville in OT.

9. Loyola
     Loyola continued their winning ways with a dominating victory over Lafayette to open Patriot League play.

8. North Carolina
    The Tar Heels came from behind and stunned Hopkins on Frida night.

7. Duke
    The Blue Devils took their first loss to Penn on Saturday but I still feel they are a great team.

6. Notre Dame
     The Irish survived an upset on Saturday against Richmond but they still look very good.

5. Villanova
     The Wildcats just keep on winning in great style as well.

4. Virginia
     The Cavaliers won a shootout against Princeton on Saturday and continue to look good.

3. Denver
     Denver ran right through Cleveland State with the addition of #BeastBaptieste going 100% at the faceoff dot! That's big time there.

2. Maryland
     The Terps have had to fight off some potential upsets but they still look very good.

1. Albany
        The Dane train keeps rolling on. They pumbled Drexel on Saturday and look very good.
