Bluegrass 6: Week 4

We had another great week of Lacrosse here in the Bluegrass!

Asbury (NAIA)

The Eagles game against SCAD Savanah was cancelled so they will really open the season against SUNY Delhi from New York on Saturday.

Bellarmine (DI) (1-3)

I wrote about the Knights in my weekly SoCon Report post

The Bellarmine Knights had very tough loss on Saturday. The Knights had a neutral site game against Manhattan and took a 10-9 loss. This game appeared to be very close and the Knights just got some bad takes down the stretch. The Knights will have two games next week as it's time for the Midwest Classic that will be held in Detroit. The Knights will play Detroit Mercy and Marquette and those will be tough games.

Centre (DIII) (3-1)

The Colonels got another win as they traveled up to take on Hanover (IN) on Saturday. That last win was pretty easy and you could see that Centre was clearly the better team. The Colonels will look to get another win over Goucher on the road this weekend.

Transylvania (DIII) (0-1)

The Pioneers will return to action on Saturday against Sewanee.

Union (NAIA) (0-2)

Union had their first ever home game on Saturday as they took on Michigan Dearborn. The Bulldogs played pretty well. Despite playing well the Bulldogs took another loss. They will be tested again as they play Point on March 1st.

University of the Cumberlands (2-1)

The preseason #8 Patriots beat preseason #9 SCAD Savanah on Saturday as well as beating Michigan (Dearborn) on Sunday. The Patriots are off to a very good start after a successful second weekend of play. Their next contest will be against Point on Saturday.
