NLL Preview: Toronto Rock

Welcome to our next NLL team preview. We currently sit at 3 days from the start of the NLL season! We can not wait for the NLL to be back. Today we will be previewing the Toronto Rock. So, this should be a good one. Let's go!

  Overview:

The Toronto Rock finished the 2017 season with a record of 9-9 and they were #2 in the East. The Rock made it to the playoffs and made it to the semifinals where they lost to the Georgia Swarm. This is for sure going to be a great season for the Rock and they should make it back to the playoffs. The Rock will open the 2017-18 season on Dec. 8th at Buffalo. This should be a great matchup and is sure to get the Rock's season off to a good start.

  Key Players:

Tom Schreiber
Position: Forward
#26

Tom Schreiber has been everything and more for this Toronto Rock organization. Tom Schreiber was named the league Rookie of the Year last season. That is saying a lot for last season being his first and only NLL season ever. Schreiber has been one of the best American born players in the NLL maybe ever.  Schreiber has contributed so much to this Rock team. Last season he had 33 goals, 61 assist, and 94 points. he for sure can do a ton on the floor and he for sure will be one of the Rock's biggest contributors this upcoming season.

Brodie Merrill
Position: Transition
# 37

Brodie Merrill is one of the greatest defensive guys that the NLL, and lacrosse in general, has ever seen. Merrill has been a huge contributor for the Rock through the past 3 season as this year will be his 4th with the Rock and his 14th in the NLL. Merrill for sure has a ton of experience and is fully equipped to have another great season. Merrill has been a great guy for the Rock and I feel that he will have another great season this year.
