NLL Preview: New England Blackwolves

Welcome to yet another NLL team preview. Today we are going to preview the New England Blackwolves. As of today we are 6 days away from the start of the NLL season. Let's get started and take a look at the Blackwolves.

  Overview:

The Blackwolves ended the 2017 season with a record of 8-10 and sitting at third in the east. As well, as making the playoffs. Even though the Blackwolves lost in the 1st round to the Toronto Rock by a score of 18-10 it was still a good season. They dipped down a little from a 10-8 record and 2nd team in the east during 2016 but still put on an impressive display.

New England will start off the season on December 8th at home vs the defending champs, the Georgia Swarm. This should be a good game as the Swarm are really the biggest threat in the East this season followed by the Rock and then the Black Wolves would most likely be third on my list. Last season these two teams, NE Blackwolves and GA Swarm, met 4 times with the Swarm winning that season series 4-1. I think the year could be different but it really all depends on how much fire power the Blackwolves bring each and every game.

 Key Players:

Shawn Evans:
Position: Forward
#15

You know we love Shawn over here at Rville USA as he spent his college days in Louisville,KY playing at DI Bellarmine University. Shawn Evans has been a threat every single year. Shawn is a very tough guy who can do a ton of things on the floor. Right now it really depends on how the final rosters shake out but Shawn Evans could be the lonesome #1 go to guy for the Blackwolves this year. I think he is also a great guy to help lead the new guys into mid season form. Shawn played in the MLL for the first time this year as well and he tore it up there too. No matter where this guy is he is tearing it up in games. That's why he is such a big piece of the Blackwolves organization and this team.
